Insulin Storage

Capacity: Based on the spacious 20 × 4 × 4 cm inner storage, this cooler is designed to comfortably carry up to 3–5 standard insulin pens or a mix of pens and vials. Compatible with:

NovoRapid, Novolog, Lantus, Tresiba, Toujeo, Apidra, Humalog, Basaglar, Levemir, Admelog, Semglee, Humulin, Novolin, Actrapid, and more.

In-Use Insulin (Room Temperature Protection): Most opened in-use insulin pens can be safely kept below 79°F (26°C) for 28 to 56 days. The cooler’s electric system ensures your pens stay safely below this critical threshold even in heat.

Unopened / Refrigerated Insulin: Maintains optimal fridge temperatures (36°F–46°F / 2°C–8°C) using the powered setup—ideal for transporting multiple unopened pens requiring strict refrigeration.

Important Notice: This list is not exhaustive. Insulin pen dimensions vary by brand. If your specific medication is not listed, please contact us to verify compatibility.

GLP-1 Injections

Other Compatible Injectable Medications: Beyond insulin, this cooler is compatible with a wide range of other injectable medications requiring strict temperature control.

Capacity: Because auto-injector pens tend to be slightly bulkier, the cooler is designed to carry up to 2–3 pens for the following medications:

Diabetes & Weight Loss (GLP-1): Mounjaro (Tirzepatide), Victoza (Liraglutide), Ozempic, Wegovy, Trulicity.

Osteoporosis Injectables: Tymlos, Terrosa, Movymia, Algoven, Forteo.

Others: Benepali, Besremi.

Important Notice: This list is not exhaustive. Always check with your pharmacist or doctor for the specific storage requirements of your medication. If your medication is not listed, please contact us.

How to Use Your Cooler

Choose Power Supply: Insert the provided 20,000mAh rechargeable battery into the compartment, or connect the device directly to a power source using the USB cable (and optional 5V power bank).

Power On & Set Temperature: Turn on the device using the integrated digital display screen. Adjust to your target cooling temperature (optimal standard is 36°F–46°F / 2°C–8°C). Tip: Wait a few minutes for the box to reach the set temperature before placing your medication inside.

Store Your Medication: Open the cooler and place your insulin pens or GLP-1 injectables neatly into the 20 × 4 × 4 cm inner storage area. Close the lid securely.

Ensure Ventilation: Keep the device upright and ensure the cooling vents on the sides/bottom remain completely unblocked during operation to maintain efficient heat dissipation.

Great for traveling diabetics

My son has recently been diagnosed with diabetes, type 1. I purchased this for travel and for him to use when he goes to work.It is easy to use and very convenient to use. Portable and perfect in size, life a small purse. The battery lasts a long time which makes traveling with insulin easier. He uses the drawer as storage for his needles, alcohol pads and gauge squares. Great purchase for the money.

Cools down quickly

When running it is very quiet. It does a good job of cooling quickly and holding the cooling chamber at an appropriate temperature. We used it for an international trip. We went through security at the airports in the USA and Switzerland with no problem. The battery lasted about 9 hours at which point I installed the backup battery. That kept the cooler at the advertised temperature until we arrived after 12 hours and could plug it in. I take two different medication that come in injection pens. I was able to fit four pens of one of the medications in (just). However, only two of the other medication pens fit in the chamber. The chamber needs to be a little larger. The depth of the chamber is good but the width and height need to be a little larger. The name, “Secretsbox” is printed on both sides of the cooler in large bold letters. This invites unwanted attention from criminals who might want to steal those “Secrets”. We covered up that lettering with “Rx Medicines” to avoid that problem.

This is a great cooler for keeping my insulin cool during long flights , car rides, and cruises.

I like the box for holding my insulin while on a cruise or out to dinner. It works very well keeping my insulin cool for about 8 hours at 75 degrees. However, I hate the bold black letters saying Mysecretsbox SCREAMING steal this box on its sides. I pried the sides off carefully used a solvent to remove most of the black lettering and repainted the sides so they are just plain white… Now, I’m Happy! Really, this thing is great and I can recharge the batteries at night with 3 amp chargers on a ship, not worry about freezing ice packs and use all day on an excursion no matter the weather with the 3 batteries. It’s totally silent and works great. Please remove the steal me lettering.Update 10/3/24I flew from SF to Las Vegas and a connecting flight from Vegas to Kona big island Hawaii with a 2 hour layover in Vegas. This cooler with a fully charged battery lasted slightly beyond 12 hours. The battery charged up overnight and was ready again next morning. I always carry at least two fully charged batteries when flying; one in use and the other in my carry on backpack along with two charge cables and two ac adapters rated at 40 watts. This allows a cooling time for about 24 hours and more if a usb or 120 volt outlet is available. One caveat is there is no latch to secure the battery pack to the cooling case and the battery can slip out if bumped or falls on its side. On this flight this happened twice. Once, when I bumped it getting out of my seat and using the restroom And the other time just shuffling mr feet and bumped the on/ off button causing the unit to shut off. This could easily be prevented by adding a simple Battery latch and a covered on /off switch. This is a serious oversight and should be addressed by the manufacturer. I still like the product and recommend its use but be careful and in future design changes the battery latch and a different on/ off button be incorporated in the final product.

Only Worked On Battery Power for ONCE

So disappointed in this item. It arrived promptly. I charged as instructed and it worked great for me first trip. I thought I had found a solution to traveling with insulin. To prepare for my second trip, I charged the battery as instructed and inserted the battery into the unit. Despite the battery being fully charged, the unit will not turn on using battery power. I had to deal with finding an alternative for my trip last minute. At $179, this unit should work more than once!

It's okay

I can't give this 5 stars. If you put it in a bag you have the chance of battery coming loose, they need to fix it where the battery snaps in or has a latch.

DOES work, and works well!

PRO: It does exactly what it says it does; keeps your insulin nice and chill, even on the hottest days. Battery does last over 8 hours, have not had it run out yet on me. I use it when I travel a lot.CON: The battery pack slides in the rear end of the unit, but also slides out easily. Since I am a guy, I will not use the carrying 'purse' to hold the unit, so it is suggested that you secure the battery with a piece of tape.I highly recommend this unit for anyone that needs to keep medicine chilled; it is way better than freeze-pak type carriers.!
