Needed chill for my GLP vials for a very long road trip. 2000 miles. Runs ALL day on the power bank i got on amazon. 40K mah. Then I plug in hotel at night and also recharge the battery. Temp fluctuates between 37 and 42 degrees F. I have 2 vials wrapped in bubble wrap and in the nice sleeve that comes with. It is very nicely packaged and has two forms of "ice" backup. So far impressed and glad I bit the bullet on the money instead of hassling with ice packs.

As a type one diabetic, I often stress about the safety of my insulin during travel. I worry that my vial may shatter or that it may lose its potency due to not being kept at the appropriate temperature. When I saw this electric insulin cooler, I knew it was something I needed to help me stress less. This is a valuable and life saving device for me. Every type one diabetic should have a medication cooler like this one. It looks like a normal water bottle and does not draw a lot of attention. The cooler is also very durable and the size is not over whelming. There are three different ways that you can travel with your insulin viles or pen needles using this cooler. You can freeze the included ice pack/gel pack or you can plug in and use the USB cooling lid. The stainless steel thermos is similar to the kind you would fill with water and travel with. It also comes with a carrying bag, a USB power, cable and medical stickers that will alert TSA that this is a medical device. The entire kit comes with a manual that explains the various ways that you can use the medication cooler. So far, I have used mine with the ice tube and with the cooling lid and had amazing results. I like that the cooling lid option has an antifreeze function to make sure that it does not damage the insulin. This device also comes in handy during power outages. This would make a great gift for any diabetic that you know that travels.

Excellent Insulin Cooler Travel Case by Secretsbox. I do not take Insulin; I take a different medication daily that has to be kept cool / refrigerated. The cooler itself is the size of a water tumbler. Enclosed are 3 different methods to keep medication cool – the blue bio-gel ice pack, the grey “emergency” ice bucket and the powered cooling unit. The bio-gel ice pack is placed in the freezer for at least 6 hours prior to use and will keep medication cool for 28-44 hours. The grey ice bucket is filled with ice or water, placed in the freezer until frozen and will keep medication cool for just a few hours. The powered cooling unit comes with an included usb cord and an outlet brick. The powered cooling unit needs continues power – it is not a power bank that can function without being plugged in. However this can be powered by a power bank (I would recommend a high capacity 20,000mAh and above). This can be powered by a traditional electrical outlet, the usb ports in a car, on a plane or train, or by a power bank. The cooler then essentially becomes a mini fridge – it maintains the temperature, shuts off when the temperature is reached and has anti-freeze security so it will not freeze the medication contained in the cooler.I’ve opted for the bio-gel pack on road trips and flights. I have used the powered cooling when I was on a cruise and also when I have to go into my office for meetings. This is a well designed medication cooler. I highly recommend it and am so thrilled that I have one.

I carried this along on a recent trip and felt significantly more relaxed keeping supplies at proper temperatures. That solid exterior seems rugged, giving me confidence when handling bumps inside any backpack. Its slender profile mimics a standard drink container, allowing the piece to blend perfectly while staying remarkably lightweight. Modern aesthetics look quite pleasing compared with typical clinical gear. Ordering one was worth ensuring peace of mind provided during my travels.

I ordered these to be used for our temperature sensitive medications when we travel. My wife is diabetic and takes Monjuro and I use a GLP-1 for weight loss. These medications must be kept cool to remain effective. I have been searching for a solution for us to use when we travel by air. We have an upcoming trip planned that will have us travelling for two weeks so I want a device that provides a good combination of long-lasting cooling ability, room for two weeks' worth of medicine, and a small footprint for easy packing in our carryon luggage. This device hits some of those requirements but misses others. The cooler consists of an insulated (vacuum type) bottle with a screw-on lid. It comes with two inserts one is a gel pack that can be put in the freezer prior to use. The other insert is an empty bottle that fits inside the cooler. This can be filled with ice in the field to extend cooling when the gel pack gives out. I tested the cooler by freezing the gel pack and inserting it. I tested the internal temp with a probe thermometer (a BBQ tool) at 6 hours, 24 hours, and 48 hours. At 6 hours the internal temp was 34 degrees F. At 24 hours it was 44 degrees F and at 48 it was 59 degrees F. I have tested multiple insulin coolers, and this one was the best at preserving temps for the longest time. Others were unable to reach 24 hours and keep the temperature under 60 degrees F. So, this one wins on that score. Unfortunately, this one falls short on internal space. The manufacturer claims that the cooler will store three pens (prefilled syringes) but that is not the case (at least not for the Monjuro pens). Monjuro pens have a large head and are pretty fat compared to other syringes. Consequently, only one pen will fit inside the cooler. My GLP-1 uses a small vial of bulk product so it will fit easily inside the cooler. If the cooler was ¼” wider (in diameter), it would fit two Monjuro pens and my bulk GLP-1. Since we will be out for two weeks, this product will not suffice for my wife’s Monjuro pens (she will need two pens for the trip). I think this cooler will be ideal for anyone who is using small vials of bulk medication but if you need to store larger medical pens, this may not be for you.Things I really like about this product:- I love the vacuum bottle/screw on lid form factor- Longevity (best I have found so far)Things that could be better:- It is not large enough to store more than one Monjuro pen

The stainless steel body is sturdy and seems like it will hold up well to travel.The size is compact but still practical. It looks like it will comfortably hold a few insulin pens without taking up too much space in a bag. The included pre-filled ice pack is a nice touch and makes prep simple.I also like that the design separates the medication from the cooling element, which should help prevent freezing while still keeping things at a safe temperature.Since I haven’t tested it over a full trip yet, I can’t fully confirm the cooling duration claims, which is why I’m giving it 4 stars for now.Overall, a well-made and thoughtfully designed case that should work well for travel. I’ll feel better having it with me when I’m on the go.

I have to say this bottle has out beaten all my other thermoses at holding temperature I was pleasantly surprised by its desine and durability.

This insulated travel cooler is available in two sizes, large & small, as well as two different colors, blue & green. I opted for the small blue one, which is more of a periwinkle color. This size is designed to hold up to 3 insulin pens styled like Tresiba or 4 insulin vials such as novalog. The overall size of the canister is 2-1/2" in diameter x 8-15/16" H, with the cover 1" H with a 1/16" W black plastic ring at the bottom. The interior canister lining is food grade stainless steel while the cover interior is black with the center extended down approximately 3/8", which fits inside the neck of the canister. The canister is made with 4 layers of insulation with a double compression layer that provides professional vacuum insulation technology that effectively seals in low temperatures & blocks heat transfer. The exterior is a wear resistant, anti scratch surface made from 304 stainless steel. A silver design 1-1/4" H consisting of dots along with angled & horizontal lines wraps around the canister approximately 3/8" from both the top & bottom. The words "SECRETS BOX" is printed vertically between the designs, but read horizontally.There are two ice pack inserts included. The biogel one is a royal blue 6-5/8" H including the base diameter of 1-7/8" x 3/4" H. The vertical portion is 5-3/4" H above & half the width of the base to accommodate the pens. The outer edge is curved to align with the inside of the canister with the inner vertical side slightly concave to more easily accommodate the pens or vials. This biogel ice pack needs to be frozen for a minimum of 6 hours to effectively keep your medication cool. Biogel releases cold slowly & evenly which allows longer cooling capacity. Both ice pack inserts have the same design with the gray one 6-1/2" H, including the same 1-7/8" diameter x 3/4" H base, with a cap diameter of 1" x 3/8" H. This gray ice container is provided as an emergency back up in the event the biogel ice pack isn't available. This can be filled with ice or ice cold water to cool the medication for a short period usually only a few hours. Also included are 2 silver gray medication bags 7-3/4" L x 2-7/8" W with white satin drawstrings.The biogel ice pack requires a minimum of 6 hours to freeze. To use it remove it from the freezer & either leave it on the counter or immerse it in tap water for 1-2 minutes, then dry the outside prior to placing it in the canister. This slight warming of the biogel pack reduces the possibility of freezing the medicine. Place your insulin pens or vials in the medication bag to prevent direct contact with the biogel ice pack. This will further reduce the possibility of freezing the medication. The manufacturer recommends placing the canister in the refrigerator for several hours prior to use to chill the interior temperature to maximize the duration of time to safely maintain appropriate cooling of the medication. The insulated canister should be kept out of direct sunlight & away from any heat source. The biogel ice pack can maintain cooling temperatures anywhere from 24 hours to 44 hours, which is directly dependent upon outside temperature as well as the inside temperature & temperature of the medication when it is inserted.This insulated cooling travel canister has a 1 year manufacturer's warranty & comes with an instruction booklet that indicates customer service is available 24/7. Unfortunately if you need to transport larger pens like Mounjaro the small size travel cooler will only hold 1 pen, or if you are going on an extended trip you may need to carry more than 3 regular pens. In either of those scenarios the larger travel cooler may be better suited for your needs as it will hold 6-8 regular insulin pens, however the cost is substantially higher. While this small insulated cooler is highly effective at keeping your insulin appropriately cooled for extended periods it is pricey. Although if you travel a lot & need to transport medications that can cost upwards of $1,000's a $40 cooler may be a worthwhile investment.

This is a unique solution for carrying insulin. The ice pack stays frozen for a long time and, in general, will keep your insulin cool for at least a day. The emergency ice tube is a great idea, but only useful as a backup. The outer shell has a nice design on it, but doesn't indicate that it is medication and looks like a regular water bottle. You may want to label it as insulin for travel or emergency purposes. That said, this is a great addition for anyone who requires refrigerated medicine on the go.
